qualified service in the IAF/Army/ Navy.

AGE LIMIT / RELAXATION / CONCESSION
The upper age limit is 28 years and the same is considered as on 01.12.2012. Relaxations/concessions for the
candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories would be made as per Government Directives.
As these posts are reserved for the Ex-servicemen, the age relaxation for Ex-service will be given based
on the number of years of post qualification experience in IAF / Navy.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in respect of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in respect of OBC
candidates.
Candidates belonging to the OBC Category are required to produce recently obtained Community
Certificate in proof of their Community (not older than 6 months as on 01.12.2012), stating that they
do not come under the creamy layer, from a Competent Authority, in the prescribed format and
Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD Category are required to produce their Community / Disability
Certificate in proof of their Community / Disability in the prescribed format.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of
Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
Experience requirements
Out of the above-mentioned 44 posts, 40 posts are to be filled with the Ex-servicemen who have worked / working
for a period of three years in the Engine, Airframe, Armament, SEW, Radio, Radar, Instrumentation & Electrical
disciplines / trades on any of the following aircrafts namely Su-30, Mirage, Bison, and Jaguar Aircrafts. Ex-
Servicemen with experience on Tetra/MCF would be preferable.
Out of the remaining four posts, one post is to be filled with the following requirements: Qualification :
Ex-Airman in IAF, Trade : SEW (Safety Equipment), Rank : Corporal or above, Minimum of 10 years service in IAF,
At least one tenure in Fighter / Trainer Squadron, Experience in maintaining of flying clothing. Additional
qualification : Computer operation in Windows environment, Working knowledge of MS Officer, Typing and Data
Entry on Computer. Medical Category: Cat A/B (in Air Force). The remaining 3 posts are to be filled with the
candidates who have worked / are working in the Airframe of ALH / Chetak / Cheetah.
REMUNERATION
Ex-Servicemen engaged on contract basis will be paid consolidated remuneration (BASIC+DA+HRA) based on their
experience and place of posting.
TENURE OF ENGAGEMENT:
The Ex-Servicemen selected will be engaged on contract basis for a period of one year initially and extended by
such period(s) depending upon the availability of work, organizational requirements, assessment with regard to
conduct and performance, etc.
ABSORPTION:
Could be considered for absorption / regularization to regular scales in the company on satisfactory completion of
2 years of contract service subject to availability of vacancies, organizational requirements, assessment with
regard to performance, conduct etc.
HEALTH
Applicants should be of sound health and should meet the medical standards prescribed by the Company.
Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to receipt of satisfactory medical report from the Company’s
Doctor as per the Medical Standards of the Company and satisfactory medical report from the Concerned
Authority in respect of PWD candidates.
APPLICATION FEE
The application fee is Rs. 100/-. The application fee is to be sent in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn on
any Nationalized Bank (preferably State Bank of India) in favour of ‘Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, LCA-PG
Division, payable at Bangalore. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD category are exempted from payment of
Application Fee. The Demand Draft should have been obtained between the period 12.12.2012 and 05.01.2013.
The application fee as indicated above is non refundable.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The selections will be based on written test & Interview. The Date, Time and Venue of the Written Test/
Interview will be intimated to the short-listed/eligible candidates by E-mail / HAL Website / By Post.
Candidates short listed for the Written Test/ Interview are required to bring the certificates / documents
(Original and attested Photocopies) in proof of Age, Qualification, Experience, Training, Caste etc at the time of
Written Test/ Interview.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Only Indian Nationals need to apply.
Applicants serving in Government/Public Sector, Semi-Government Organizations should produce “No
Objection Certificate” at the time of Interview.
Canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence will be a disqualification.
Appointment of selected candidates is subject to receipt of satisfactory Medical Report from the
Company’s Doctor as per the standards prescribed by HAL and verification of Caste, Character and
Antecedents from the concerned Authorities as per the rules of the company and Vigilance Clearance (As
applicable).
HAL reserves the right to increase / decrease the specification given in the advertised post depending
upon the response. Mere submission of application will not entail right for claiming employment.
Decision of HAL Management regarding selection will be final. Further, HAL Management reserves the
right to fill up or otherwise any or all the notified posts and also to fill up the future vacancies if any
from the valid panel of selected candidates as per the rules of the company.
The vacancies identified are to be filled up by external candidates only.
Candidates belonging to OBC category are required to submit the OBC certificate in the prescribed
format (not older than 6 months as on 01.12.2012) enclosed at Appendix-A and candidates belonging to
SC/ST category are required to submit the SC/ST certificate in the prescribed format enclosed atAppendix-B.
Candidates should produce proper experience certificate and proof of employment in IAF / Indian Navy
and the relevant post qualification experience at the time of interview failing which they will not be
permitted to appear for Interview.
Before applying the candidates should satisfy themselves regarding eligibility criteria desired for the
post.
Appearance of the shortlisted candidates in the Written Test/ Interview is provisional and it does not
entitle them for any claim for the post. They will be treated as debarred ab-initio at any stage of the
recruitment process incase they do not fulfill essential eligibility criteria.
Last date of receipt of applications is 05.01.2013. Applications received after last date will not be
entertained.
Incomplete Application forms or the forms which are not in the prescribed format will be rejected and no
correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
